Afro-Caribbean Percussion and Folklore
Walsh Elementary School
Gallery 37 Connections, inclusion program
2004 - 05

A nine week program for 5-8th graders including students with special needs, meeting twice a week after school and co-taught with Charly Barbera. We focused on musical composition from a non-musical theme and worked with conga, djembe, dun dun, shekere, bells, movement and voice. Program culminated in a CD recording and public performance. Recording and engineering by Weldon Anderson.

Hanya Hanya Fae: This piece was our entry march into our final performance, demonstrating what can be done with body percussion and voice.
