2005-06

A six week intensive summer program for 3-5th graders, co-taught with Charly barbera. We met five days a week for four hours a day, studying Afro-Caribbean music and folklore with percussion, singing and dance. We worked with conga, djembe, dun dun, storytelling, visual art, movement, and vocals. Extra focus on group cohesion, musicianship and performance skills. The program culminated in a CD recording and public performance. Recording and engineering by Weldon Anderson.
